Plain-language privacy notice.
FarmDeck collects only the information needed to operate its waitlist, understand regional demand, and explore a requested marketplace, equipment, or farm-service match. We do not sell personal data.
What we collect
Depending on the form, this can include contact details, farm or business type, state and county, acreage ranges, product interests, equipment need or capacity, timing, budget ranges, service area, service searches, provider-profile views, and information you add in free-text fields. We also record the form version, referring page, and campaign parameters so we can understand where requests came from.
How we use it
We use submissions to respond to you, maintain the waitlist, improve FarmDeck, aggregate demand, evaluate potential equipment matches, prevent abuse, and send service-related messages. When you submit a farm-service request and consent to matching, we may share the job details and contact information with the selected providers solely to obtain a response. A search alone does not authorize that sharing.
Service providers and sharing
FarmDeck uses infrastructure and communication providers such as Neon, Vercel, and Resend to store submissions, host the service, and send email. Location searches may be sent to Mapbox or OpenStreetMap Nominatim for geocoding, and map tiles may be loaded from OpenStreetMap. Public provider profiles may be assembled from a provider’s own public website and are labeled as unconfirmed until claimed or verified. We may share information when you direct us to, when needed to provide a requested service, or when legally required. Aggregate, non-identifying demand patterns may be used to plan market coverage.
Retention and your choices
We retain a submission while it remains useful for the request, waitlist, fraud prevention, or legal obligations. You may ask to review, correct, unsubscribe, or delete your information by emailing open-ag-data2026@outlook.com.
Security and updates
We use access controls, signed administrator sessions, server-side validation, and abuse controls. No internet service can promise absolute security. Material changes to this notice will receive a new effective date and consent version.
