University Trial Comparison Tool.
Public variety data is scattered across state PDFs, inconsistent tables, and crop-specific reports. This tool pulls live university trial rows into one browser-side workflow so you can compare rows by crop, state, university, system, maturity, and yield edge.
Loading live trial data. Pulling the latest university rows from the live database now.
Top row
No matchAdjust filters or clear search to repopulate the table.
Average yield
—No rows in the current slice.
Avg. edge vs trial
—Difference between each row and its university trial average.
Select up to three rows from the table to pin them above. Sorting defaults to yield index so unlike-for-like university summaries rise to the top.

How to use it
What this first version is optimizing for.
Start with the right comparison slice. Filter to your crop, state, and management system first. Comparing irrigated Nebraska corn to rainfed Ohio corn hides more signal than it reveals.
Rank on yield index, not just raw yield. The tool defaults to yield index so each row is measured against its local university trial average. That keeps local environment differences from dominating.
Pin only the finalists. You can select up to three rows at once. That keeps side-by-side comparison readable and forces a shortlist before you get into seed treatment, price, or availability.
This is a workflow beta, not complete ingestion. The current release now reads from the live trial database. Coverage still varies by crop, state, and source format as new university reports are added.
What to add next. Multi-year stability, disease package scores, price sheets, and direct links back to the original trial PDFs. The interaction model is here now, so the data layer can expand without changing how growers use the tool.
